Pegasus Squares is excited to be hosting its third fly-in March 4-6, 2022 in Dallas. We are pulling out all the stops for this '50s-themed weekend to make sure you have an even better time in Big D than you did at our two previous fantastic fly-ins. We sure hope you can make it since it wouldn't be the same without you!

Note: In order to best protect the health of our attendees, we have decided that full COVID-19 vaccination and a booster shot is required in order to attend the weekend. In addition, attendees must agree to wear a suitable mask when in the event area (dance rooms and halls) and not eating or drinking. Please check our COVID-19 Safety Protocols below for details.

Meet Our Callers

Sandie Bryant

Chicago, IL

Sandie has been behind the microphone since 1979, but her introduction to square dancing came almost twenty years earlier. She calls at various festivals and is on the staff and manages the Academy for Advanced and Challenge Enthusiasts. Sandie is a Golden Boot Recipient and has appeared on TV, radio, podcasts and in newspaper articles promoting square dancing. She calls dance programs from Mainstream through C-4 at events across the USA as well as throughout Europe, Asia and Canada.

Darryl Lipscomb

Edmond, OK

Darryl began square dancing in 1959, at the age of 12, began calling at the age of 14, and made calling his full time profession in 1978. Darryl and his wife Decah travel extensively throughout the United States and foreign countries, calling many festivals, weekends, and institute weeks. When dancing to Darryl, you are assured of smooth flowing, innovative, and exciting choreography. Darryl enjoys calling square dancing levels SSD - C3 equally well; however, he admits working with beginners is especially exciting!

Our Medical Advisor

Dr. Joe Iser has agreed to advise our Fly-In organizers on all of the most current COVID-19 safety protocols. Joe is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, General Preventive Medicine and Public Health and recently retired as Chief Health Officer for the Southern Nevada Health District. Most importantly, he is an alumnus of Pegasus Squares and learned to square dance here in Big D!

Cleanliness

The Hilton CleanStay Program builds on already rigorous cleaning standards to provide complete peace of mind, utilizing industry-leading hygiene practices created to keep guests safe.

From readily available hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes to increased scheduled cleaning, Hilton Hotels is committed to protecting its guests' wellbeing while using public spaces.

Health Agreement

All attendees will be required to sign a health agreement in which they:

Agree to not participate if they are feeling sick or have any COVID-19 symptoms at the start of the fly-in
Confirm they have received a full COVID-19 vaccination and booster before the start of the fly-in and agree to provide proof of their vaccination status.
Agree to wear a suitable mask when in the event area (dance rooms and halls) and not eating or drinking. Appropriate masks should cover nose and chin, ideally be N95 compliant, 3-layer cloth or paper, and have no breathing vents. Bandanas, scarves, or gaiters are not appropriate masks.
Agree to report any positive COVID-19 test results within a week after the fly-in. This information can be used to inform other attendees of possible exposure to the COVID-19 virus so that they may take steps to safeguard their health and the health of those they are in contact with.

Registrants will be contacted and given information on how to submit their information for the health agreement.

If you are thinking of attending but can only make it to part of the weekend, we have dance rates available per session. You may also pay individually for meals.

About Our Venue

We are excited to have consolidated our Fly-In's dancing, meals and lodging in one location! Sophisticated Richardson hotels begin and end with our host hotel, the 4-star Hilton Richardson Dallas. Its location inside “The Telecom Corridor” affords travelers easy access to Dallas, Garland, Plano and Frisco. Economical transportation is available from both DFW Airport and Love Field via DART Rail. The hotel has a free local shuttle from 7am to 7pm. There is also plenty of free, on-site parking.

Lodging

Our host hotel and dance venue is the newly renovated Hilton Richardson Dallas. We have secured a block of double and single rooms for your stay. Make a reservation in our room block by clicking on Book a Room.

Nightly Rate: 2 Queen Beds $109, King $109 (+ 13% tax)

The rates are good for stays Friday, March 4 through Sunday, March 6, 2022. Our block of rooms is likely to fill up quickly, so make your reservation soon to guarantee this rate. Unreserved rooms will be released on February 10th, 2022.

Amenities include free high-speed internet, parking, local phone calls and complimentary breakfast. In addition, there are many nearby restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk.
